One model searches, decides what matters and writes the answer in a single pass. You get fluent prose and a list of sources it says it used — and no way to tell a passage it read from a rate it remembered. Checking it means redoing it.
AI that not only answers but works with you
Ask in plain language and watch it work: what it searched, what came back, and how every sentence maps to a document. It drafts the deliverable too, and cites only what it found.
One model searching and writing at once can't be checked
Research and writing are separate models. The writer receives only the numbered evidence the researcher actually retrieved, and has no tools of its own. Hover any number to see the file, the page and the excerpt it came from.
The work is visible, because the work is the claim
Pernee shows its research steps expanded by default. An answer that arrives from nowhere is exactly what a firm can't sign.
- 01
It says what it's doing
Before it touches a source, Pernee writes a sentence or two on what it makes of your question and where it intends to look. That narration streams live, so there's no dead air between asking and the first search.
- 02
It searches, and shows each result
Every search is its own row — your connected drives and mailboxes, the tax authorities, the firm's own review memory. Under each row sit the actual files and passages it returned, not a claim that it looked.
- 03
It writes only from what it found
The answer is written by a second model that has no tools and sees nothing but the numbered evidence. Then citations are matched back to the exact file, email or page, and up to four follow-ups are suggested.
Decide what a question is allowed to reach
One control, next to the composer. It changes which tools exist for the turn, not just what the model is asked to prefer.
Auto
The default. Pernee picks across your connected sources and the official authorities. It does not reach into client data on its own.
Knowledge sources
Your connected sources plus the published authorities, with each authority individually switchable. The last enabled source can't be turned off — an answer with nothing behind it isn't an answer.
Client data
One client and nothing else. Firm-wide document and mailbox search is removed for the turn, and so is any outbound query — because an outbound query on a client-scoped turn is the client's name leaving your tenant.
Four things the product enforces rather than asks for
Citations it can't fabricate
The model never writes a citation label. Every row a search returns is registered and numbered by Pernee, and the model can only refer to a number it was given. A marker it invents resolves to nothing and is dropped from the source count rather than quietly passing as a source.
Scope that is enforced, not requested
Narrow a question to one client and the connected-source tools are not built for that turn at all — there is nothing for the model to call. Turn an authority off and results from its domains are discarded before the model sees them. A hostname check is a fact; a prompt instruction is a hope.
Deliverables, not just replies
When the answer is a document, it streams into a panel beside the chat as a document, spreadsheet, PDF or email — versioned, with earlier versions restorable. Tax workpapers built from stored client figures are computed rather than written, with no model in the arithmetic.
A record of what answered what
Every question is filed with the scope it ran under — the client, or the sources that were enabled. Threads from before that was recorded say “Not recorded” rather than guessing, because an inferred answer on an audit surface is worse than a blank.
